Post subject: | Can this ink be removed? |
This is related to that vintage 7" Marusan Viras question that I posted under the "Marusan and Nitto Question???" topic. This same figure has what seems to be blue pen ink on its face but I am not sure if it can be removed. The head is somewhat loose but the ink is the bigger problem to me. I do not have the figure but was sent pictures of the marks so I put it to you....Is there a safe way to remove that ink? Whether or not I add it to my collection depends on the answer. Please let me know and thank you. |

The best way to remove blue ink is by carefully writing over it with black ink. |

The mister clean magic eraser worked for me before to take off ink. Just test it first so you know it isn't taking off paint or anythin else. |

That sounds good...and I looked it up online. It does state that it is good for removing pen marks....but I am not sure about using it on vintage vinyl figures. Has anyone else had any luck with that "Magic Eraser" on their vinyls? |

In order from least to most invasive stain/dirt removal from vinyl: (in my opinion) 1- Compressed Air 2- Water 3- Add Soap 3- Rubbing Alcohol 4- Magic Eraser 5- Acetone 6- More Acetone 7- Bolt Cutters 8- Fire |
