I've just found these pics and all of a sudden I remembered owning some, probably 30 years ago and loving them to bits... Does anyone know if these were released by other companies outside of Italy?

I agree, Zephton is pretty awesome. Atlantic toys were quite popular in Italy back in the days, mainly due to the fact that they released little plastic minutures of Captain Harlock and Go Nagai's Goldrake which were both big hits on TV in the early eighties.

Yes, the toys too! The Vega / Goldrake enemy set was my favourite, great stuff. These tiny figures we're really detailed.
