These Bioman figures are pretty cool. Even as Kamen knockoffs or what have you, the design is very creative, and they are much more fun than any of the other subsequent 'Power Ranger' type series.

thank you so much! awesome of you to clear this up.
also, i had asked the particular owner of this piece if it were vinyl or plastic. they stated it was hollow plastic.
...
which is it?

Hahaha, the simple answer is "both." Vinyl is plastic. I can argue the finer points of the chemistry with anyone on here, but I would beg to know where [or why] people draw the line. Further to this, not only is vinyl from different countries different, every manufacturer will have their own formulation, and this can change even with time and from release to release.

What I am guessing you are asking though is about the type. From all appearances this looks like a rigid plastic figure. The surface sheen is a giveaway - you can't easily get that with really soft materials. While the figure itself might have some limited flexibility in the arms for example, it does not give like traditional sofubi vinyl.

Not sure if this answers your question or not. Oh, and the arms are almost certainly solid, while the body is hollow - think vintage Kenner Star Wars construction.
