Price at the hammer drop was $2250.00 if I am recalling correctly.
Quite a bit more than the $300-$500 per figure range I guess-timated.

$2700 with buyers premium. Still, I recently saw 2 Hawaii Godzillas like this one sell for 250,000 Yen. I also think KingGhidora's middle horns are broken.

So is that Goji on flesh vinyl? Sure looks like it. Pretty unusual and awesome. Decent price too, but still a lot of cash for lowly folk like me.

Not sure why you'd guess-timate that. A Hawaiian Goji in roughly that shape (with writing on the feet) just sold on Y!J last week for 250k. $2700 was a steal.

Edit: whoops...Mark already mentioned the other Hawaiian Goji's!

Me either, that's why it's called a guess... I don't know that market.

If who ever won it want's to sell that Mikuras, I'd be into it.

Were you at the auction? I think the price you quoted was for on-line bidding which closed a few hours before the auction. I bet the final price, with phone and in-person bids, was much higher.
BTW, it's Ikarus.

I was on the phone. It closed at that price I think.
It was over $2000 before I could tell them to bid as soon as it opened.
I thought of going for it, but assumed given the instant bid responses there was no deals to be had.

I was after the robot vinyl in the next 2 lots anyway.
Which I actually won.

I was lusting after both lots, but finances prevented me from bidding, not that it would have mattered. Congrats, Sean. What was the final bid on that Denjin Zaboga lot?

Yeah total steal for whoever won. The Kanedoras and the Goji are soo nice. I threw a tire kicker bid at it early on just in case people were sleeping. I was kinda surprised at the estimate also. I just figured someone on staff did a quick ebay search and was like "well I guess they are like a hundred bucks a piece?"

Yeah, post some pics or links to what you won, would love to see what they had available, even if it is out of my league. I am sure I am just being interweb dyslexic or something, but I can't seem to find them, and can't be arsed to sift through all the miscellany.

Indeed, nice lot, congrats on the win. It is strange with these vintage auctions, the prices are definitely hit and miss, as has been pointed out. Was anyone else around these parts successful?

This is the only other vinyl lot in the auction (that I saw)

Those are indeed the 2 lots I scooped. One was like $200 and the other was $325...
If had known the bullmark Gojira is $3k a pop I'd have shucked out for the win indeed.

And thanks Mark K for pointing out the Ikuras vs Mikuras.
I've also wanted that postman ikuras for a while. it's like Hacchan meets Kaiju.

I mostly went after the MB stuff and the Zaboga. Red Ranger isn't my steez... I'd consider trading/selling :)
I may even have some missiles for it.
