Looks like they are showing 2 of the "villians" now for pre-order. Sweet, finally these guys at a more reasonable price. Hope they make them all!

They haven't yet posted them for international availability as far as I know, though usually that link is only available direct from the Medicom site, and not Rakuten. But these are the two coming up:

edit. So I just placed my preorder. Tried to pay but apparently medicom's paypal is down again. Im very happy with this. This is probably the hardest one to get from the lot, and a nice repro is better than nothing.

I ordered Gerupesu as well but I never know what the deal is with Medicom and making a payment. I always send a email reply to the order confirmation asking whether they want me to pay now or wait to be invoiced just to be sure. Medicom's paypal account is down? Don't payments just automatically go to them via paypal?

Agree about Gerupesu, probably the one you are least likely to see pop up. I'll never be able to afford any of the originals so it's really nice Medicom is doing this. Repro vs never finding a very expensive rare vintage toy? No brainer....I hope they eventually do those Yonezawa Nodders :D

I think they had some issues in the past, I tried to send the payment and it said that the address was not accepting any money at the moment.

Post subject:  Re: Medicom Triton Vinyls

I've ordered a bunch and have never had any issues.
you get an email about 5 days before the deadline asking for payment.
if you've sent an email asking to pay immediately you should get a response in a few days, the important thing is placing your order.
i'm excited, beautiful toys!

The mint Gerupesu i just saw at the nagoya mandarake was $2000. Would have loved to have it but thats a bit insane.

I've ordered a Triton one Month ago from a seller on yahoo. So my friends in Japan will let me know when they'll get it at their home.
So If medicom make more from that set, that will be great and maybe they will make the Hutch...honeybee ...the girl is always so expensive.

Answering my own question:

Hi:

Recent showing on Kaiju Korner from Medicom show of future soft vinyls show only 4 total "bad guys" and Triton himself, which are the 4 that have been solicited by Medicom already. Any idea if they are stopping with those 4 or are making re-issues all the originals that were made in 1972?

While I can't speak for Medicom, I'm pretty sure they will. They've done 5 so far and only have 4 more to do.

Ok back to my vacation- drinks and the pool :D

So anyone receive or even get a shipping notice for the Gerupesu yet? Shipping was suppose to be late July, and July only has 3-4 days left depending on where you are in the world.

Nothing here yet, but for the last time I ordered from them (the Devilmen) I don't think I ever received an official shipping notice, they just arrived one day.

Post subject:  Re: Medicom Triton Vinyls

Yeah my memory is foggy with shipping notices as well. I do recall sometimes getting them, sometimes not. I was mainly curious if anyone got theirs yet.

I never get notices from Medicom. And usually get the toys before I expect them. I figured the gerupesu would get here the first days of August.

Ha fooled you, you thought I was going to post a pic of Gerupesu right? Well thanks to KaijuKen's RSS feed I do know the next two Triton's to be released by Medicom (pics by KaijuKen):

Lizard looking guy is in between Galtan and Walrus man. Which just leaves these last two after this next set (pics courtesy of vintagevinyl):

OK here we go....Medicom did a superb job on these Tritons right down to the packaging. Double bagged/ two headers:

Back of inside header- cool to see all the cartoon versions of the villains:

Gerupesu, I like the size. He's standard but I think the dorsal fin on the head makes up at least an inch, so he seems smaller. Sword is molded on so it will be very easy to distinguish from vintage:

Bonus catalog (I assume copy of the original Nakajima) insert of all the characters:

I know I will regret not getting the two Dino's & Triton but I'm not going to miss any of the others!

Oh man what a great release. Love the packaging and catalog.

Post subject:  Re: Medicom Triton Vinyls

Yeah I'm assuming Medicom will be putting the catalog in all the future releases so might be worth it to get at least one? Also just looking at it I noticed the way they are pictured is exactly how Medicom is releasing them- in sets of two!
