i'm really tempted to make the pilgrimage this year. If I can find cheapish flights and affordable accommodation i'd def be down. |

I will be driving up from PA if anyone wants to carpool. I drive a fiat so seating is limited, but stylish! |

I've looked at rooms in NY and it's always expensive. Splitting will always be the best way to go. |

hotel penn across from madison square is usually the cheapest hotel close to the con.. other wise a hotel in the outskirts of the city like queens or brooklyn is best bet. The rooms are like 100 a night and the public trans is running 24/7. |

stupid question, but only been to San Diego. Is the NYCC opening night worth making the exra mission out for, or are the major releases, events mainly friday and weekend? |

Can't miss preview night at NYCC. Might not have the crazy reveals like at SDCC, but it's worth going to. I'll be there fo' sho with the misses. We're talking about doing a backpack sale with some Slave One, Future Creature (Ultra999), and some leftover Spikewads. |

Sorry for the double post, there's a karaoke place in Koreatown if anyone would be up for that Friday or Saturday. It's amazing and they have "Party Hard" |

Despite a website with photos of current art I've done, I was denied. My friend who does more comic book related art got approved, so I think they're being selective for certain styles. |

I didn't realize that Sat passes would sell so fast, haven't bought tickets in 5 years. A local shop still has yet to get them, going to stay on top of them so I can go on Sat. Will probably get a Friday too. I feel dumb for waiting to avoid the online fees |

Any tips for someones first time in NYC? I can't figure out what airport is best to fly into, and what part of the town is a cheap way to stay, yet still have transit into the city... trying to get the logistics down... |

Both JFK and LaGuardia (LGA) bring you into Queens. LGA is closer to the city, but JFK is a way larger airport. Pretty much any hotel (other than right near the airports) will have pretty decent transportation into the city. MTA is the subway for New York, and can get you anywhere you would need to go. |

man, indecision is killing me. Trying to decide if it's worth the expense to fly to NY for just one night, attend Thursday and Friday then zoom out of there friday night. : ) yes, no, yes, no! : ) Also, isn't Newark Airport a pretty good option? That's how i've always flown in. Pretty quick to get to Manhattan from there. |
