Well now, after spending 7 years in NYC I've had my fill and my girl and I are heading back to the Midwest. Woo! I'll be curious to see what has changed...and what hasn't.

A lot more hippsters and yuppies and trust fund babies and torn down classic buildings replaced with cinder block hell holes with Starbucks and cell phone shops and condos. It's better than anywhere else I've lived though, welcome back!

We're going to be in Aurora in a very nice townhouse. Admission is free! The trip out, though, isn't  If all goes well, by Spring or early Summer next year I'll have a new venture to open in Chicago. More to come on that

i take trips out to aurora all the time on the metra. the train station is very conveniently located, and with a 10-pass, the price to and from downtown isn't all that bad. aurora's been built up to be a nice place, especially with naperville being so close and full of lovely chocolate shops and such now. your plans sound very exciting! please keep us updated. congrats on the move! |

I haven't been there in years and only went to play shows. I think the first Chik-Fil-A in the area is opening there though! |

ooh, waffle fries and soft serve! i miss those from when i used to live in georgia. chik-fil-a and checkers -- mall food court food, yum! but nothing beats white castles for that pure (and purifying) experience, though. when i was in georgia, i missed those sliders. |

After some prodding...and that I totally forgot  I'm now in the area! actually, have been for a few months with zero free-time. I figured that once we were out of NYC I'd suddenly have more time to do things but hell, I'm doing even more now than ever! Crazy Midwestern work ethic
