I plan on being at the opening at Grass Hut for the new Martin Ontiveros show. Anybody else from the P-town area plan on going? I know the new Ojo is making it's debut there. Show is from 6 to 9 pm. I also propose we form a local NW group calle NWB's (Newbs - get it?) - North West Brainers to compete with the mighty Cali contingent (LAST was it?). This will combine the powers of Washington and Oregon and form a mighty alliance against the southern show off (and yes I know you all have S7!!). What do you all say! Hope to see you there! |

There was a limited amount available for sale at the show to walk ins - if there is any left at the end of tonight - they will be put up for sale on Grass Hut - this is per Bwana. There was like maybe 8 or so left when I was leaving. |

Funny thing about that - it appears the "common folk" on the Grass Hut Preorder list got first stab at the customs and painting bewfore the locals did and most if not all the offordable pieces were sold before the doors opened. On the other hand - the "locals" (don't surf on my beach!) got first crack at the clear Ojo's. So I guess it turned out to be semi fair for all. Martins HP was my fave - Ojo Stardust (last picture all the way to the left). Jo - I left about 6:40 - I had to get home to the pups! Sorry I missed you. Maybe NWB's can meet at the next Grass Hut show soon! |

Nice meetin ya, Mark! We left right after you - musta just missed you Joe. Didn't see Martin - did he ever make it? I think the Naoya (metallic blue/green/gold) was my favorite of the bunch. Looks like the blue and green were painted on the inside, with the silver/gold and black detail lines on the outside. Very nice looking! Awesome paintings as always - nice work, Martin! (Did you ever make it to your opening?) The Booska is huge! Sounds like they're hoping to get the first one released this summer. Hopefully some of you will be able to pick up an Ojo - the numbers were indeed slim after the first half-hour of the opening. |
