So we are just a few days out. Oaks is Friday, I'm off for a big 3 day weekend. Anybody doing something I should know about?

Does this shit matter anywhere else in the world?

i know i'm probably missing something, but i have never understood the weekend long celebration and love of an event that lasts all of 2 minutes and consists of little men abusing horses

Forget the horse race, that's lame.

Consider this a huge celebration of spring. I mean only lame-o's care about the central reasons for real events. Nobody thinks about zombie jesus at easter it's all about bunnies and shit.

Same with derby. The horse race, I could care less. Now the partying, all the people in town, all the events, now that is fun!
