Dennis Richmond is a cool local icon but Bay Area locals of a certain age will always remember Bob Wilkins as the region's monster pimp.

I pity the fool who has to follow Dennis Richmond's gig... it would almost be better if they got some total clown as a mid-meal sorbet course for a few weeks and then introduce the real replacement. He was always my favorite local news anchor... he would've kicked Ron Burgandy's ass!!! |

This is truly sad indeed. He was one of the things that made me feel like I was back in the SF of my youth whenever I am there. And anyone named Dennis is cool in my book. |
