Hi everyone!
Aaron and I are going back home (LASK territory) on July 3rd, so June 28th will be our last Saturday up here for about a month and a half. I don't know if anything is going to be released that day, but if you guys just want to show up and hangout around the store and possibly get some lunch, that would be fun. I wanted to bake some cupcakes to bring to the store as a thanks for making all of these past weekends so enjoyable. I hope there is some kind of release so maybe some of the non-Saturday regulars can come by.

I wasn't sure what kind of cupcakes to bake so I decided to make a poll. Vote for which kind of cupcake you'd like to eat that day and I'll bake the winning one. Also let me know if you have any special dietary needs and I'll bake an alternative just for you. Josh and Alex feel free to vote too since you guys work on Saturday's.

Oh, and if you're planning to come that Saturday, please reply to the thread so I know how many to bake.

Coming from a tropical country, I absolutely hate fake coconut...and I'm a little allergic to chocolate so that got rid of 2 options :)

I'll be there. Since you're baking cupcakes, maybe bring my daughter Mia. Raspberry Cream sounds yummy. Were deathly allergic to all nuts but especially peanut butter...ack! :(

One of the nicest and coolest things to do. Shannon2.0 is working that day..So I might drive up with our son Caden who hasn't eaten a cupcake before, so he can have mine. We're 80% sure we can make it.

i love red velvet, but for the most part its just chocolate cake with red food coloring (have made it a couple times), and i'm allergic to peanuts as well so i voted raspberry :D but honestly i'd come out and hang without cupcakes

Joe didn't tell me they had vegan cookies until after they were all gone!

In less than a weeks time, Joe...
- didnt pull my preorders, so said toys were already sold out.
- neglected to inform me about vegan cookies at the party
- and sent the LASK to the worlds slowest sandwich shop (it took over 45 minutes to get 1 sandwich, and im not exaggerating!)

I love that everyone is so excited about this! If you have kiddos don't worry they can have their own of course just let me know if you're bringing them so I can bake enough. Scott I'll have your cupcakes for comic-con, vegan means extra animal right? I can't wait to see you all there (where have you been Dean?)

I got hit by the latest wave of layoffs at my company so I've been laying low and sorting things out. I was really happy for Super7's 7th but was in total shock at the time and didn't want to be a party-pooper by showing up in a glum mood. We'd been told that there wouldn't be any more layoffs, then BOOM, there were. I was bummed that I don't feel that I should buy toys until I find another job. Priorities are no fun LOL. Thanks for thinking of me folks. I miss hanging out with you all and dropping by the store but will probably do so soon anyway just to keep in touch. I guess this is obvious but I really love this community. Just temporary hard times, that's all. The threads about how the USA economy might affect this scene have been on my mind a lot ... suddenly it seems "up close and personal." Anyway, sorry for the sob story. I always land on my feet and am sure it'll work out.

I'll make an effort to stop by on the 28th. It'd be great to see Shannon and Aaron before they take off, and of course all the other BASK regulars and semi-regulars.

Hey I've been meaning to ask ... how did the pre-party swap meet go?

Lay-offs...Dean, do you work at Lucas? I know they had massive lay-offs...and by massive I mean half the company. A kind man told me "Its really all about hanging out and getting together. The toys are just a means to do so..." So even if you're not buying anything, you should still come out...and besides, it would be great if someone older than me shows up :D. Oh wait...Kirkland will be there so I know I won't be the elder statesman...hahahaha.
