Hey all

I hope to see some of you while in SF next month. We're out there from July 19-27, and I know some of you will be sticking around during SDCC.

I'll be hitting up the store on July 19 around noon-ish after my flight gets in, so hopefully a few of you will be around. Trade fest perhaps?

Also looking for restaurant recommendations for Berkeley as we're out there for most of the week!

See you all next month!

Cha-am -Thai, their BBQ chicken rules
Zachary's - Chicago stuffed pizza, there's one close to the Claremont in the Rockridge area which is a cool spot itself
Oliveto - really good hand crafted Italian, also in the Rockridge area
Cheese Board Collective - best pizza I've had, one flavor a day posted online, always vegetarian, dining al fresco, lot's eat in on the grass in the median, go next door to their bakery and get a cheese roll, best thing ever!
Chez Panisse - fancy tried and true, the cafe is more approachable
Rick and Anne's - across the street from the Claremont
Top Dog - killer dogs and sausage at all hours
Le Cheval - Vietnamese, short drive to Oakland, but definitely worth it, try the French rice with your meal.
Everrett and Jone's - BBQ down on San Pablo, tiny dingy joint in one of the seedier parts of Berkeley, exactly what BBQ is supposed to be, just don't stare and you'll be good.
Betty's Oceanview Diner, best pancakes, really good breakfast, can't see the ocean.

I never went to Cal and almost everytime I go to Berkeley, I have to go to Top Dog. There is nothing to be scared about...except that you'll eat too many.

I wonder if she uses the same grease?

There's a burger joint somewhere I heard uses 50 year old grease to cook there burgers

This turned out to be a great thread of places to eat in SF that I never even heard of...thanks for coming down atease and hope to be part of the festivities when you arrive in July (as well as give the finger to all the BASK that will be making it to SDDC..........maybe that would be a bad idea since I will most likely be asking for muling favors)

Is this an instant heartattack burger ? Reminds me of some weird Scottish ritual, almost as far out as a deep fried Snickers bar.
