If you thought parking at Super 7 was bad...this will be 10x worse :(

S7 parking is easy with the garage right there, is there no garage by DP or something?

Post subject:  Re: Bwana, Martin & More @ Double Punch 3-14-09

there's a garage in the area (with narrow spaces)... if that's filled, looking for parking in the area will make you want to double punch yourself in the face. i like the restaurants in the area

It is in North Beach:
Double Punch
1821 Powell St
San Francisco, CA 94133-2809

There is one...I think it is a block away (far enough for some). Also, DP is very small. It has 2 floors and the whole thing...store floor + gallery...is a little over half the size of S7's floor. There's a burger place (Burgermeister) near by and a great place for chicken (Il Pollaio) along with some other places a block or 2 away (and an awesome hat store, Goorin) so if you're planning on going, go early, grab a bite to eat, then walk over.
There is no mention of a toy or customs being sold at the show.

wonder why Bwana or Martin hasn't posted anything on this show? I just read about the Grasshut Amanda Vissell, Ledbetter, etc show but no news on this one... nothing even posted on the Ningyoushi site... strange

I contacted the store and was told that they were not expecting any new or custom toys from Martin. But it still sounds like a great show. I won't be able to make it, so there's one more available parking spot!

We tried to make it but got sidelined with other plans. Does anyone have a picture of the custom dolly?

It looks like Tara made it to the show. I gave up on parking and went home.

Looks like there was a Killer and Dolly production pieces as well as a few customs. I'll bet that they're still available since Doubly Punch isn't really know for carrying Gargamel's toys (even though they have in the past).

no Dolly or Killer productions pieces...but then I didn't really look around the site.

Haha Bert, You beat me to posting! I made it to the show on sunday. I knew from previous shows at Double Punch that I'll never find parking especially on saturday nights.

You shoulda told me, I would have tried to make it out. It seems like nothing sold on the night of the show. Kinda makes me wonder if there were any people that night.

I was there with Dave Saturday night. We purchased a fantastic Steven painting, and talked to Bwana and Martin. The parking gods smiled upon us and we got easy parking and even had some Golden Boy pizza prior. Great show!

wish recon/nort was still next door... darkside is just OK (although still a nice selection of shoes)

If people are coming in tomorrow for the show at S7, maybe we can meet up early and head to DP before going to S7.
