Gonna be staying in Burlingame, at the Sheraton Gateway Hotel @ SF Intnl. Airport. In town for my sisters Masters Degree graduation and we want to find a nice restaurant nearby the hotel for dinner. Anyone have suggestions? The hotel is at 600 Airport Blvd in Burlingame... I know I could Google restaurants in the area but I am hoping to get first hand recommendations... Thanx for any help you BASKers can give! |

I know a couple Filipino restaurants....but not sure how you and your family are about trying new foods. http://www.yelp.com/biz/patio-filipino-san-bruno http://www.yelp.com/biz/kuyas-asian-cuisine-san-bruno I've been to both and they're both good but if I had to pick one, I'd probably go with Patio. |

Ryan, there are a ton of great restaurants nearby.... http://www.smalltown.com/burlingame/htm ... tegory=150 My first choice would probably be Kincaids. Right on the water, very near your hotel and the food is excellent. http://www.kincaids.com/ Broadway Grill to get your Prime Rib on.... Sakae Sushi is one of the best in the Bay Area, but pretty small Kuleto's for italian food. Nice, but a bit pricey Il Fornaio for italian. see Kuleto's |

If you like Indian food, Roti Indian Bistro is a really good restaurant in the heart of downtown Burlingame (they also have a location in SF) Here is their website http://www.rotibistro.com/ You can see their menu here http://www.rotibistro.com/menu/ *Their Lamb Korma curry is super yummy, and their Keema Naan bread is not to be missed and map here http://www.google.com/search?sourceid=n ... burlingame If you are hankering for some authentic Dim Sum, then Fook Yuen in Millbrae is a MUST! Forget all the dim sum joints in Chinatown, they cater to the tourist, and most of the stuff they serve you is frozen from pre-packaged stuff they buy at the factories. Fook Yuen http://maps.google.com/maps?sourceid=na ... 5093586963 You can call ahead for a "number". On Saturdays they are SUPER packed with lines waiting out the door. If you get a number ahead of time, call in and tell them your estimated time of arrival. The food is delish (if you aren't hard-core, avoid the chicken feet ![]() ![]() *If you go on a week day for dim sum, it is MUCH more civilized. Best hours for dim sum are 11:30am thru 1:30 pm. After 1:30, the selection might not be as good, as the kitchen starts winding down on production. Good luck! |
