I'm in it, but only a painting. Didn't finish the toy by the deadline. See you there.

Slacker!!!

Len's painting alone is worth taking this show in for. Bert's piece (S7 vinyl) is pretty bad ass as well! He did a painting too. I did a Koibito (evil Western Vinyl), but I can show you the painting that went w/ it - All the silver stuff photographed as white.

Thanks LALO! Wow, Bert! That painting is swell. It looks like an acrylic?

thanks guys. you gotta see the Mummyboy under a black light. it's very different.
The drawing is actually all ink (metallic ink) and marker. I'm thinking of using the skull for a t-shirt.

This was a fun show. Glad I could stop by and see the work. Thanks for posting the details about it Bert--I wouldn't have known about it if it weren't for you. Looks like a lot of good stuff is still available here:

I was really happy to pick this guy up. Kinda creepy and VERY nicely detailed:

I understand this was done by a Skullbrainer, but I don't recognize the name ADDEccenteric. Anybody?

I don't know who painted it, but the figure is by WeKillYou. Here's a link to his post when he debuted this figure: viewtopic.php?f=49&t=28027&p=394445#p394445

I had such a fun time talking talking with Lee, Alex, Bert, Jeff, Grace & Mark :D...and meeting some new peeps. DrilOne (and Leecifer) did a super job setting up the gallery...It really looks amazing.
A lot of it wasn't really my cup-o-tea, but some great talent nonetheless!

Congrats on selling the painting Bert! Someone needs to pick up his Mummy Boy...the pics just don't do justice to the sparkly finish on it.
Lee's piece too...the painting is huge and both are stunning to see in person.

@Sokko...that's probably my favorite WeKillYou sculpt...though I'm not sure who ADDeccenteric is.

I've put pics up on my flickr and website.

Thank you for everyone who showed up.

ADDecentric is We Kill You's friend and did a colorway custom.

Finally downloaded my pics. Here are a few photos. I would've taken more, but I forgot to recharge the camera battery

Hubby and I were admiring the whimsy on the painted walls :P

Look! My new toy!

...the one on the left, not the one on the right

I was very happy to adopt Pestar by RedYoda
Image
What a beautiful custom! :P Even though I'm not a fan of Pescular, I could not resist RedYoda's creation--was deathly afraid someone would adopt him before I got to the show!

Signs of Life, by Gray

A very cute Bossy Bear, customized by Kat Brunnegraff, "Ursa Minor"
Image
this piece was shown under black light, and had very nice sparkly GID eyes!

A very interesting creation, The Wandering Memorial by Cris Rose

a closeup!

Lou Pimentel's Midnight Stroll

I wanted to take a picture of Bert's Soulful Mummy Boy, but I ran out of batteries :( A very nice custom!

Cris Rose, Kat Brunnegraff, and Lou Pimentel pieces were my favorites. Also the 64 Colors piece.

Thought Processors: The SF Series
Phoneticontrol's flickr
I guess Kirkland hasn't uploaded his pics. He got home pretty late after a couple beers and a tuna melt.

Thank you all for coming to one or both shows. Loads of fun!!

Grace you snagged the only Tsuburaya era custom beastie at the show (there was a mecha Hedorah made out of a Bandai though that was kinda cool)! I was happy to have the only 'kaiju' there...except all the western vinyl dudes were probably wondering wtf.

I thought that Chris Rose piece was pretty awesome too...great pics!

I really wish I could've made the phonteticontrol show opening...I was very intrigued by the concept and am definitely going to check it out. The pics I've seen of the pieces so far are fantastic! Really love the Leecifer Capatain America cyclops!
