I haven't been this excited about a show in a long time. Anybody else coming out for this?

Hey Dustin,

Did you make it to the Guitar Wolf show? How was it? I would have loved to have gone, but I was working... A friend saw them at GonerFest the other week and was underwhelmed. He said he's seen them kill it live, but not this time.

Yeah, I made it. I don't know about the show your friend was at but the one I saw was fucking awesome. BOTH is really small and Guitar Wolf plays really loud. It was like there was a continuous explosion happening on one side of the bar for a little longer than an hour. My ears were ringing for two days.

It was especially awesome because I got to hang with the band and finally get the Guitar Wolf comic I worked on into some peoples' hands.

The dudes in the band are some of the nicest, coolest guys you'll ever meet. I'd met them before in Tokyo but it was really nice to talk with them again here in SF. Rumor has it, they'll be back in the USA in the spring.

Also, one thing that made it even more special was that KC JOE (yup, he's still alive) came out of his cave for the show and rocked out with us.

Awesome that you got to hang out with them. I hope I can see them if they come back in the spring. What is the GW comic? Who opened the show?

BOTH is a cool place for sure. Haven't been there in about a year (the Mummies blew my mind!), but have been there plenty over the years and I don't even live in the Bay Area.

Hans Condor opened (another bunch of awesome guys) and the GW comic is a book I made with my friend and my brother. It's a 72-page book filled with Guitar Wolf, motorcycles, aliens, robots, monsters, and Rock 'n' Roll magic. We're working on making it available in Guitar Wolf's webshop soon.
