I'm looking for a book on Jumbo Super Robots like the Popy, Shogun Warriors, Machinder etc. I know of one but can't seem to recall the title. I checked if S7 got one but none to be found. Was gonna check the bay but need the title of the book. If anybody happen to have one in good shape you want to sell please PM me. Thanks

There was some discussion here of a couple books:

viewtopic.php?f=48&t=28082

Super #1 Robot and Inside the Robot Kingdom.
I haven't flipped through them but they might be what you are looking for...

I saw the Super #1 Robot and will be ordering that. The one I'm trying to track down covers Jumbo Super Robots specifically.

That covers Jumbo Super Robots like the Jumbo Machinders/ Shogun Warriors. I remember seeing a book like this but can't seem to recall the title. Any info would be most appreciated.

snagged this from collectiondx . there is also a toy life magazine that was packed with jumbo machinders . between tom frank and nekro dave there could be a damn good data base for jumbo machinders .

Robert, Volume 3 of the Saito collection is the one you're looking for:

Amazon JP has it for about 3,000 yen, but only from used sellers.

Saito books rule! this one is expensive - others can be had for a song.

Thanks Roger, now to find one. Got Jumbo Machinder fever and loving it! Also on the downward spiral on Biliken tin wind ups and the like. God help me and my wallet.

Dunbine is my favorite Jumbo. If I still had "the juice" I'd be hunting one.

If buying a copy of the book from those used booksellers on Amazon JP is too problematic, you can always try a local Japanese bookstore to see if they can get ahold of it.

Is the spice no longer flowing, Roger?

What do you do to calm the jitters and reduce the sweats?

I think I prefer the Gangu Jinsei to the Saito book, mostly because it shows boxes and has a couple of missing villains in it. But it's harder to come by these days. I'd also love to see a comprehensive Jumbo book but it would be really hard to do. There's so much not available or still unknown...

Thanks Necrodave, I've already learned allot from the reviews you did on Collection DX. That U-tube vid of your collection is jaw dropping  How long did it take you to get it that far?

Thanks. I guess I've been at this for about 7+ years now. Maybe 8? I forget. Something like that though.

Glad the CDX articles help. I'm probably gonna alter them all soon and maybe remove the price estimates. It's just been nearly impossible to gauge the market these days. But to that end, I've been working on a massive folder of over 1300 auction sale pics from 2008 that I may upload and blog there. Rather than try to tell people what they sell for, it may be better to just show them! But I'm still trying to work out the best way to sort it all out. How to name them so they'll be sortable, etc..
