Post subject:  Resin figures inspired by toylines from the 80s

Hello!

My name is Hauke. I have joined this forum recently and now would like to share some of my work with you. I have been designing my own fantasy and sci-fi resin figures for a couple of years now. The figurs were designed by me in a 3D program and then manufactured in China to my specifications. Orginally I only wanted to use the prototypes for customer presentation but I recently started an online shop where I sell the figures in limited production runs at http://www.scheer-imagination.com/.
The figures were mostly inspired by American 80s toys but you can see some Japanese influences as well.

I hope you enjoy the figures, Hauke

Is that some "Galactus" in the squid guy at the top?
These are really great!

Thanks for all the feedback!
@onibaba5: Not on purpose. At the time I just wanted to make a cone-shaped helmet to resemble a squid's head. But now that you mentioned it the antennas do remind me a little bit of Galactus. Sometimes my subconsciousness just lets stuff I like slip into the designs, I guess. :-)

Great job on these. I really like the Ragnarok line. Good luck with getting them out there to the public.

Really like the contrasting colour of the squid legs on the top one. These are great.

You should submit these to Spectrum for exposure

Thanks again for all the feedback! I just got the first two figures (the dog and the squid) shipped to me from China and am now selling them through my shop at a special price to celebrate my first ever mass produced figures. :-)
@TrimmTrabb: Yeah I love that name too. :-)
@ GERMS: Yes those colors turned out nice. I actually wanted the Squid's tentacles to be painted white first but then went with a more contrasting color.
@ olivemartini007: I am not familiar with Spectrum. Can you tell me what that is?

Thanks, Hauke

OK don't get me wrong because I really Like these alot, BUT $66 for an open run toy is alot isn't it?

Hi!

Due to budget and storage issues I cannot afford to make large production runs for the forseable future. Therefore the figures are produced in very small production runs of 50 figures each at a time. At such a small production number the cost of producing the figures is still high, hence the current price.
And even though it is an open toy run the figures will still be scarce in that way that it might be a gap of several months before a new production run is made.

The Squid is about 7.5 inches tall.
The Werewolf is about 6 inches tall.

Hey Hauke,

I have been wondering all the time already are these 3d prints or hand sculpted / hand cast? The pictures really do no give much of a clue about how these look or compare next to other toys. I would love to see a photo.

Cool figures nonetheless.

Hi idle!

The figures are hand sculpted and hand painted by a chinese company. I have an article about the whole process on my facebook site:

Hello, I'm curious about articulations, do they have any? I mean, for two of the figures it's obvious they don't, but the other two?

Sorry I haven't been here for awhile. @Axolotl: No the figures do not have any articulation. Some have exchangeable heads but that is it.

Here are some more upcoming figures:

Shadow Sallamanda, my first Superhero:

U.R.I-NAL 9000: Never use a dark alley again! With the U.R.I-NAL 9000 men can relieve themselfes wherever they want and even wash their hands!
