5 months and 2000 kanji after documenting my struggles here, I've finally had a proper bash at painting up my toys. I used Mr Hobby spray cans, so 2" was pretty much my minimum spray burst, but I'm quite happy with how they came out. When I move into my new place in February I'll be picking up an airbrush (and given the hangover I'm coming down with maybe a respirator too). Anyway, here they are, Mondocoyote's Galaxy People. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I absolutely love those sculpts. You could do so many things with tinted clear resins and different paint jobs. I've just started trying some sculpting with super sculpey. These figures are really inspiring. |

Thanks for all the positive comments! There's a lot of technical stuff I still need to work out, degassing, spraying etc - and that can't be done until I've moved into my new studio in February. All this stuff is just too toxic for my present set-up, especially with my kids about. Anyway, when all that happens I'll be thinking about getting some micro runs done! In the meantime I can think about sculpting another couple to round out the set. Exciting stuff- at least it is for me ![]() |

congrats on getting these done, they look great. The resin road is long, bumpy and unforgiving...... and expensive. |

My wife always complains about me degassing, esp at the dinner table and I agree, it's not a good example to set your kids. Luckily I don't suffer excessively from spray. Nice work though! I like the last two best. Is the bottom one clear pink? |

These are looking great Brian. It must be really rewarding to see them take shape. I'm looking forward to seeing what's next. |

I'm thinking about painting up a small run of these, maybe 5 or so. I don't think it's appropriate to sell them on the board, so if anyone is interested send me a pm with your email address and I'll put you on a mailing list. thanks! |

Post subject: | Vacuum/ pressure pots |
The next guy in the series is nearly ready and I'm really itching get some runs done of him and my other sculpts, but I want to do it properly. ie. NO BUBBLES! Does anyone on the board have any experience of buying pressure pots or vacuum tanks in Japan? I've found good pots on US websites, but want to avoid paying out the nose for shipping. ![]() |

Great new addition to the Galaxy People linage. These are turning out to be an interesting set of figures the single eye really ties them together. Are you aiming for any more in the Galaxy People galaxy? |

Are you aiming for any more in the Galaxy People galaxy? Yep, got plans for a couple more of the good guys/ girls. Then of course they'll need a couple dozen bad guys to fight! |
