Post subject:  Happy Cupcake Buddha V2.0 - last batch dropping 7/25 !!!
So, after blowing out the mold for the first Happy Cupcake Buddha figure, I decided to make a new version - rather than just re-molding the first one. So, here's version #2 - V2.0! I dropped these guys in the BigCartel thing today (along with a few other odds and ends)- more in the nearish future ;-)

I need to cast out all my molds and move stuff because I'm actually MOVING TO JAPAN! WOOOOOOHOOOOOO! So, keep and eye out for a sale-thingy at some point in June :mrgreen:

Thanks People! Yeah - I'm deffinitely sticking to the bright colors on these figures :D

I love them because they mix my love of buddha with my love of cupcakes... This i not only condone but makes me want to have a toy of a zombie holding a pizza. Or maybe have Satan with pie? Seriously Stoked.

These are awesome.. I Love Buddha, him holding a huge cupcake is even better. Please keep these coming. I grabbed the purple/yellow one and a blue one. I would love one of those "caramel" covered ones they look great!

I know you've made something really neat here because I seriously can't bring myself to buy one for fear that I'd actually try and eat it. I know that's not what you want to hear as far as sales go but trust me it is a compliment :lol:

Thanks for all the great compliments people! I don't know what it is about these little guys, but they certainly seem to strike a chord with just about anyone who sees them. I guess you just can't help being happpy when you put the subject material together with the bright colors :D I have to admit, I didn't put too much thought into it - it just seemed like a fun idea at the time - and I'm glad folks are liking them!

I have about 3 more days where I can cast these guys - and then I have to pack up my studio for a month and a half... We'll see how many I can conjure up!

Thank You! I am toying with going for vinyl (Japanese) for version 3.0. Kind of along the lines of the RxH Darumas and one eyed mineki neko guys. But in that case he'd actually be chowing down on the giant cupcake! We'll see what happens in the coming months after my move ;-)

So, yeah, not the best timing - with so many folks at SDCC and all. But I'm moving out of the country soon, and these things can't wait any longer!

I'm posting up the very last release of the HAPPY CUPCAKE BUDDHA V 2.0 this coming monday (7/25/2011) at 12 noon EST. Once these are gone, then I'm off to Japan, and it's on to scheming about V 3.0.... Maybe later this year.
Hope you guys dig these last ones! It was a bit crazy in June as I packed up my whole studio and tried to cast a little here and there, so I couldn't do as many as I had hoped :?

Oh, and there will be the last release of the Flex Packs - the first opaque resin casts - and these were cast by me this time!
