My next TR Garage Toy is an original design by me that I call King Swine. He was once enslaved in the uranium bacon mines of the evil Pharmear Braun, but earned his freedom in the mud and gained great strength as a pen fighter. ( still working on the back story, I really just wanted to sculpt a pig monster. ) He is approx 7 inches tall . I did the sculpt in Castaline wax. ( It comes in soft medium and hard, I prefer to work with the hard. ) He will be roto cast resin and I will have some ready for Wonder Con next month. |

Really nice sculpt dude. How do you rate casteline? is it better than other things like sculpey or have you always used it? |

I really like this sculpt! His expression is great and I dig the posture. In the shot with the mirror I can see hes got cool horns on the backs of his knees! This is just awesome and the tubby (bc inspired?) torso rocks! Definitely a want! |

I learned to use castaline and other waxes while working at 21st century toys (I was a painter with basic sculpting skills ). I like how it carves and you can use heat to smooth it out in the end.( although it is easy to melt hours of work away ). I think clays and sculpy are easier to build up. I personally never liked carving sculpey, but that is just me, never took the time to learn how to work with it. Amazing things can be done with both, it just takes patience to learn what you are working with. I am sure if I took the time to work with it I would be happy with sculpey as well. So in the end it is just a matter of preference and patience. |

Seriously gorgeous sculpt Guf! Gives me a reason to go to Wondercon. And I agree with everyone else on the fact that this was made to be in vinyl... |

I was just debating with myself about attending Wonder Con this year. Thanks for helping me make up my mind. I'll take pink resin with a rub please. |
