Let's talk about Metallica.

Ride the Lightning is fucking phenomenal.
Everything else up through and including And Justice for All was pretty great as well. After that I can't hang.

Meh, I only liked the couple Exodus songs they stoled.
The rest was pretty weak. And they spelled Cthulhu wrong.

Why must sweet sweet resin things like this tempt me to break my "no resin" stipulation?

Ride the Lightning is hands down the best Metallica album ever. Disagree and you're wrong, sorry (but not actually sorry).

I'm feeling the same way, but may still try to grab a set because these rule so much.

Any plans on a re-release of Vagina Mary?

I couldn't ask for a better hype man than Kevlo.

It is rotocast resin if that makes any of you vinyl junkies feel better.

Kevlo has a pre order for GID marys up, if you want them done in a different colorway let me know and we can work something out.

Hm, rotocast huh? For someone like me who doesn't have any resin at all, can you explain how the feeling of that compares to that of vinyl?

Post subject:  Re: Pewkies

I really don't understand all the vinyl snobs around here.
Seriously.
I collect toys, I don't care what they are made of. As long as there isn't horrible QC issues with a Chinese factory toy and I like it I'll buy it. I love resin. Especially small run stuff like this. People try to act like the Nags that are hyped to hysteria and money makers for the wanna be elite are such small runs and small projects, but they aren't. Small hand made resin stuff is the real toys made with "love" thing.

Its like someone told everyone how great jp vinyl was and then just flocked to it no matter how fucking bad the design is. But if anyone does anything interesting in anything else, it obviously is just the nerdy kids who don't know any better while the high school jocks keep hyping up the vinyl.

Love the head on these, love roto cast resin, I just always get creeped by Kewpie bodies. lol

^ I definitely don't think of myself as a snob as far as vinyl vs. resin goes. I'm just uneducated. I like my collection to gel together well, and I'm worried that resin won't work alongside vinyl. Someone convince me I'm wrong and I'll be all about resin! :D

So anyone willing to buy a set and split? I'd love at least one, but can't do the whole set right now.
I'm with audiodiff, I don't care what the toy is made of, if I like it I try to buy it.
I don't have enough resins for a resin shelf, but I don't mind mixing them with the rest.

Resin is hard so it definitely feel different. Resin is usually heavy compared to vinyl but being rotocast these will be lighter than solid resin of the same size. Still heavier than vinyl though. My resin pieces coexist with my vinyl quite well visually. I'n cases of things like Lamour's Baby Huey I don't think you would even know it was resin unless you picked it up or looked very closely. It fits right in on my unpainted shelf. My only concern with resin is it breaking but as long as you are careful it's fine.

Post subject:  Re: Pewkies

Depending on the resin piece, its probably hard to break it then some other toys. Solid cast resin is really tough and strong.

I'd be in for this, I'd take any 1 of the 4.

On the resin vs. vinyl subject I tried to limit my collection by saying "no resin" but so much cool stuff is coming out in resin. So many artists are getting their start/getting toys made in resin because it's more accessible that I can't say no as much anymore. I also see the breakage thing as being an issue, particularly on thin pieces, big chunky resin parts rarely break.
