hey kids,

finally back and internets connected...

as previously mentioned http://www.skullbrain.org/bb/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=42340&start=0 , my partner 'miss magpie' and I would love to host a toy surgeon meetup at our new studio in oakland.

anyone and everyone with work in progress to share are encouraged to attend. i would also suggest hitting any one of the excellent chinese dining facilities nearby afterwards. our swanky sweatshop is conveniently located 3 blocks from 880, as well as the lake merritt BART.

i generally work nights and weekends (stupid entertainment business!), but i can easily schedule off a weekday with some notice...

please suggest some dates/times for june if you are interested :D !

cheers,
a

last call to try and get something together...

somehow ended up with 6/24-6/29 off from work, so i'll be tinkering at the bench one way or the other.

i realize comicon is probably the priority for most folks coming up, but hey, if you can't go (like us), come celebrate being trapped by the bay!

glad to have you boys on board...! :D

unfortunately, i've got a gig booked for the last 2 weeks of july, so i'll propose 8/4 or 8/5 since most folks are off on the weekend. but that gives y'all a breather after comicon.

please yay or nay asap, so i can schedule the day off.

cheers!

I will be out of town that weekend. Maybe the following weekend? Or week day?

that'd be saturday 8/11, i certainly don't have any plans that far out.

if it needs to be on the weekend, then sure. certainly gives me a chance to get some more stuff wrapped up by then...

i just declined my gig for 8/11, there was no way i was going to be driving around golden gate park during outside lands.

Lee is out of town that weekend, sadly...but it's open for me right now.

i'll humbly suggest 2pm for meetup time... that'd put us around 5 or 6 for dinner after.

since attendance is looking dubious, i'm going to invite a couple other sculptors who aren't in the toy biz specifically.

onward!
