got into one yesterday, It was my first time and it sucked... It was my fault, a illegally parked truck hid a stop sign and I t-boned this lady. the cops got to see the truck so I didn't get a citation which I think will help keep my insurance down. none the less I'm hoping this lady wont sue...

anybody had that happen to them?

on the neat side I did feel all my organs shift when It happened. weird feeling!
I'm feeling it bad today.

It all sort of happens in slow motion at least for me.

Wet rainy day. Driver ahead of me suddenly hits the brakes.
I hit the brakes and just skidded into the back of him.

Low speed so no one was hurt except for my insurance bill.

Been in dozens of wrecks - went through 6 cars in 5 years until I got a whip that I actually care about. I even ran a cop car onto someone's lawn once. It's a rush. First time's a doozie but you get used to it (if you don't die). Mind you I live in Jersey - worst, most dense driving state hands down...

I've been on the receiving end of a t-bone before. Guy ran a red light and hit me in the driver's door. Only thing that saved me from going to the emergency room was my 1970 piece of solid american steel. They just don't make 'em like they used to.

I wouldn't worry about them suing. Your insurance should take care of all that.

Car accidents are the worst... I mean nothing feels worse mentally than getting into one, especially if you know it's your fault. I've been in two accidents through my long driving career, neither too serious, but they both make me feel like crap when I think about them.

The one thing that you should be so grateful for is that you hit a car and not a person walking. Cars can be fixed, people can't.

I bounce back and forth all the time - 5 moves in 5 years. Let's just say I get restless.

Dang, dude, that sucks. I'm glad to hear that everyone is ok.

Sadly, someone in my neighborhood just died from a motorcycle accident he had.

I have never been in a collision, myself. Knock on wood.

sorry to hear that man. I dont know anything about the law in your area, but yo should feel weird in a car accident. In an accident in your vehicle there are 3 impacts. The car hitting whatever you hit, you impacting with the seatbelt/ airbag/ etc. Then when you stop your internals goodies hit hit your bones. Totally sucks man.

i was in a horrible rollover when i was 15, spent a week in the hospital ><

no lasting damage besides a really fucked up elbow but i didn't start
driving til i was 18! was way too scared

like others have said, the best thing is that nobody has major injuries.
unlike the accident i was in (caused by some dickhead's road rage on the NY thruway) it was a mistake, so hopefully the other driver knows that ;)

The other thing that really sucks is most body shops take forever and a day.

mm accidents.

I've been in 3.

1st someone driving too slow, in the RHS ( the quick lane downunder ) and braking, my old car didn't have brakes good enough.

2nd drove into the back of a provisional driver ( who didn't have their identifying plates on the car ) however her dad was a judge so that was nearly a very expensive experience.

3rd time reckless driving, spun my car going around a corner and drove into curb. Loose sand from construction site had made road very slippery.

All up those accidents would've cost me over 10k in repairs to my car and other persons car. Thankfully no injuries! Definitely had some close calls since but now I just drive carefully prepared for the worst from any driver - advanced driving courses are also a blessing :)

Been accident free for 6 years now :D

Glad you were able to walk away man.

I've been in some pretty scary close calls, including one involving a landslide as I was driving over Hwy 17 (just past the summit) DURING the 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake. Luckily my brakes held up and the only damage was a flat tire.
