Just wondering if anyhone has come up with any bright ideas for raising the shelves on a Detolf, other than re-welding them?

It probably would cost as much as the detolf or more, but take the detolf apart, go to a metal fab place with the metal shelf holder deal thing, and have them make one with the spaces farther apart.

OR break the welds and raise the bottom shelf and reweld. (not easy ;) )

take 4 zip ties and attache them to the hiegth you want and snug them around the vertical poles. clip of the excess. take 2 pieces of wire and make an X and tie them off above the zip ties, neatly trim the excess. snug the wire ends down so the rest ON TOP of the zip tie collars. place glass on the wire.

presto.

time: 5 minutes

cost: 3 dollars or less.
