is it going to be the whole member or like GnR where it's only one member from it??

Sadly, only 2. And the other one's the drummer....

I bought tickets though, I think it should be a good show!

I liked the first two Pumpkins albums, especially Siamese Dream.

I got to see them in a tiny club in Los Angeles in '90 or '91...

Zwan ain't the same thing at all.

I thought Zwan was really cool--definitely not the Smashing Pumpkins, but they weren't trying to be. SP was dark, but Zwan provided some good morning tunes.
The dude from Chavez was in Zwan, so that was a plus. Chavez is a favorite--well when they did "ride the fader".

So Smashing Pumpkins won't have Iha and Darcy or whatever? WTF? Well at least they got Jimmy. He is probably my favorite drummer--definitely a big influence in my own drumming; he flaunts his chops, but he always keeps it moving. Lots of good energy.

Being from Chicago during their rise I was expected to like them, I guess, but never did. Not bashing though. I just hate half-assed reunions, it's not REALLY a reunion.

Yeah, Zwan weren't that bad in my opinion. Zwan also had Dave Pajo, who is one of my favourite songwriters.

First few albums were great. Even the Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness.
But after that, they lost me. Adore? Machina? Zwan? ehhh.

Seemed like Corgan went on a great ego trip.

I really didn't dig Machina at first, but after a couple of listens, it's one of my favorites.
Adore was the one I skipped. I like MCATIS a lot, but I don't go back to it like I do Siamese Dream and Machina.
Pisces Iscariot had some gems on it, too.

Man, I'm gonna go and pop-in some SP stuff...! Great band.

Zwan, was the happy version of the SP. I never seen billy so calm, happy and Cool in Zwan.

Mellon collie & Machina was their best,

The drummer will be lost without Billy. Billy can’t find a better drummer. Remember when he fired JC, SP resorted to drum machines, they sounded like a bad copies of Depeche mode and Duran Duran. Haha.

Any way, the old members are enjoying their progressing. Jame Iha is the lead for A perfect circle and coming out with his 2nd solo album, Melissa auf is also doing her 2nd Album. D’arcy is long gone.

By "long gone" do you mean...she passed?

Nobody knows, Last heard she left the group to pursue an acting career. Hope she is still alive and well, being some else’s mommy.

eh, I still think it should be a good show. Guess I'm always the optimist. Hell, I've sat through hours of "dad rock" hoping that Paul Weller might belt out a Jam tune now and again.

Whatever it is. Billy is Smashing Pumpkins.
There will never be any SP without Billy.

I remember the rumours, that all part in the studio recordings excluding the percussion was actually played by Billy.

Listen closely to their live tracks, Iha's & Darcy's tunes are slightly diffrent.

Billy's last good tune was 'Car Crash Star' from the Machina 2 album.

Yeah, Billy did all the writing, but it's just not the same to see only 2 of the 4 members.

Anybody ever hear James Iha's solo effort? "let it come down".

I thought it was alright, but it sounds like they used some studio magic to get his vocals right. "do you believe in life after love?"
