it's midnight. traffic is jammed outside. way too many dudes in tight tshirts that smell like cologne factories (spray, delay and walk away fellas). just walked passed some chick puking on the sidewalk. smelly dudes laughing at her. i almost got hit three different times while walking two blocks. some drunk dude tried getting me to trade tshirts with him. and all the hot girls are as dumb as they are hot.

Yeah, but it's Hollywood. I've never been out there, but it sounds more interesting than Boston or Harvard Square...

For a truly miserable place to be try the Baltimore area; doubt any place could suck much more.

At least there are hot girls to look at in Hollywood (dumb or not); this place is virtually a wasteland.

Silverlake is kinda near Hollywood but much nicer, but still cool. More importantly, home of John Marshall High as featured in "Grease" and Van Halen's "Hot for Teacher" vids.

If I moved back to LA, I would love to live in Silverlake......or Malibu

The traffic does suck, but where else can you walk to the parking garage next to your house, go up to the roof, and watch Slayer?

Things could be worse. You could be stuck out here in Hawaii where it is sunny, 85 degrees with cool trade winds, and girls in thong bikinis on the beach. But who am I to complain?

Oh, I don't know.

Just give it a few weeks till the money's back in town.

Then you'll be knee-deep in dog muck, thieving kids, and crusty jugglers....

...just like Hollywood!

I lived 2 houses down form the Viper Room for 6 years. Metal Skool started there, before it moved the the Key Club. I used to do classes on Mondays and drive past teh line up every night. lloks like it was fun when it was ironic. Less so whgen it became serious.

Both teh Viper Room AND teh Key Club pretty much suck by the way.
