There is a tattoo shop that I have been thinking about going to here in Koenji and after seeing this I am convinced. Check out this Hideshi Hino work, it is fucking sweet.

GOD DAMN NICE! My friend just finished getting sleeve on his leg of Hino, his other leg just got started, he's doing the other in an all Maruo theme. Great stuff, I make him give me some pics to show you guys and gals. |

Not my thang but that's a nice piece of ink! Just idle thoughts . . . . I'm an old fart and am kinda wary how all this style of stuff will age . . . both colour fade/bleed and your perception of what's cool at 20 being the same as what's cool at 50! Whilst the aesthetic of the Suicide Girls is on-point now, the fact that there are gonna be a whole generation of females with punk-rock ink all going South with age is kinda scary . . . 'Life Fast - Die Young' don't really work when yer get past 25 . . . |

'Life Fast - Die Young' don't really work when yer get past 25 . . . thats absolutly ridiculous, as a highly tattooed female, it was actually an 80 year old woman with a pin up from the 50's on her arm that gave me the tattoo bug in the first place. i am very comfortable with who i am, and know i will always love my tattoos, if i am 70 and don't love my zombie pin ups and monsters, then i wouldn't be me. plus what makes women with tattoos age worse then men?! i find this comment highly offensive. like you can't have tattoos past 25 thats fucking retarded. maybe you forgot that there are women in this forum because that is masgonistic crap. it's good to know the only thing you think of when you think of tattooed ladies is a fucking porn site, come on. also though it is very detailed, ink's are way more advanced these days than the ones we currently see aging, though we really have no idea what they will look like in 40 years, with minimal sun exposure your chances are pretty good they will stay beautiful. |

I have been thinking about some Maruo Suehiro myself, that would be some beautifullly disturbing work to have. People would freak out and think you are deranged back in the states. Hell, they would think you are crazy here. |

Hell, they would think you are crazy here. Yeah, there's a few images I've been thinking about getting from him, but actually none of the "too crazy" ones. I was able to get the Maruographs I and II at SDCC last year and there's a lot of great stuff in there. |

I'm pretty sure Andy didn't say old tattoo'd women = ugly, but old tatoo'd men = ace. He merely stated this style of 'tattooing' might look a bit garish in the future due to how it ages and how the skin changes. That was all. |

Yeah, but still, once you've aged and gotten to a certain age I kinda can't see how it matters anymore. |

I don't know too much about Suehiro Maruo, but most of his work has blatant shock value with a rad mix of sex and violence. January 2006 issue of Juxtapoz has a great article, and cover art, about him. He has done some art work for Balzac in the past. I'm not sure of anymore connections to the toy world, but is art is amazing and extremely underrated... at least here in the states. |
