I'd like football if there were no pads, and they didn't stop after someone got tackled, and it was more violent........oh wait...RUGBY! Pads are for losers. I have way too short of an attention span for most major league sports. |

See, if you ever played either sport, Football or Rugby, you would realize that even though they appear to be the same, the dynamics of the game are far different. Rugby is much faster paced and you are on offense and defense at almost the same time.The reason they dont need pads like football is because they dont have openfield head to head or shoulder to chest tackles like in Football, its against the rules.Also, rugby dosent have the forward pass which creates opportunity for the reciver to be left completely un-aware as a 250 lb Linebacker is running full spead and about to hit him with the force of a buick.But dont fool yourself, rugby players wear pads under their shirts and little shorts, and if they are smart they wear them on their heads. I enjoy both sports and have played both, what I dont like is the hype and bullshit that surrounds the people who play Pro Sports. |

actually the closest thing i watch to sports is "Ninja Warrior" hahaha (aka Sakuke for you JP people). the US just gave it a stupid name, but the competition is great. |
