my phone died unexpectedly & i'm outside of my warranty. its actually cheaper for me to just get a new one than bother replacing or fixing mine...so: what's the cool phone these days? (don't say iphone. i know. i want it too..but all in due time, after some bugs are fixed) I was thinking of getting a razr or Krazr (don't laugh) any experience w/ these? thoughts? i dont' think I like the buttons. I need something that takes decent photos, has a lot of memory & i guess some bells & whistles won't hurt. I don't really do music or games on my phone that much, but i guess if i had one that did it, i wouldn't mind. suggestions? |

Seems Nokia has the best general reputation for Verizon-compatible phones. I intentionally use the most basic Nokia phone there is so I'm not qualified to specify a model with a camera, but maybe a trustworthy tech review site like CNET could help. |

I have a blackberry 8703e, and it's awesome. The just released the 8330, which is the newer version of my phone. It has a camera, web, email. You can be on SB all day!! haha But it gets insane service all over the US and works really well. It doesn't place music I think. It's pretty thin, but it's to box like for some people. I'd say go to a Verizon store and check it out, I'm really happy with mine. |

I have a Razr from Verizon. It is a pretty good phone. No real problems whatsoever. The camera takes decent pics and video. I have a buddy who has the chocolate. It is pretty slick, but for me I have to have a phone that closes better (flip) or I will be calling people all day long from my pocket. Plus since it will be in a purse I would imagine the screen may get pretty beat up on the Chocolate unless you have a case. My biggest complaint about any of them is Verizon itself. They like to water down all of their phones so you can't use the built in features and instead have to pay them. |

A friend of mine has the Chovolate. He's very happy with it and that's a pretty big deal considering he's such a Sony fan-boy. I asked him about Sony Ericsson phones. He says they're good (I agree) but he really likes his Chocolate. I have the Motorola Razr...I wouldn't buy it again. For a while, it wasn't reading my sim card so I switched back to my old Ericsson T616. If you've been on the same plan for a while now, they should give you a discount on upgrading your phone. If you want a phone with lost of space, then you're looking at one which can take some sort of SD card. Chocolate can take a 4gb micro SD. You can get SD cards at some place like http://www.newegg.com instead of going to BestBuy. Me personally, I'd get a clam-shell over a candybar. |

I own a chocolate The keypad is very small for txt messaging. and dialing numbers is a pain. I never use the music app and it was a pain in the ass anyways.. it would jumble all my music up and even though they were is seperate folders (took forever to upload and organize) they still would be all out of order, I could not fix this. The sound quality is okay, better than any razors or krazors or whatever.. The phone is a gimmick an I wish I would have gone with another model, I have the 1st version, so maybe bugs have been fixed. I like verizon and LG makes great products, but this seems to be the device that tries to do too many things, but does none of them very well. |

I really like my LG EnV, excellent phone. I hate talking on phones, but I do like text messaging, it works extremely well for that purpose. It has superb reception too (if talking on a cell phone is important to you). I have encoded video to it as well, and it plays mp3s instead of whatever proprietary files Verizon likes to push on people. I also like the Samsung u740, I give that a +2. The Krazr is crap, avoid it. |
