Does anything get traded for vinyl besides other vinyl or cash? I was just thinking I could make people great deals on Murad products (make your woman really happy) in exchange for toys. It seems like a strange trade but then its value for value really. Is this kind of thing done or am I off on a wierd tangent? |

People trade other stuff for toys all the time - records, posters, art. As long as both parties are happy a deal's a deal. |

Pretty much the only other thing I've seen traded are old HC records. (I'd trade my Dan the Automator "Music to be Murdered By" 12" for some Skull Toys!) |

I just googled "Murad products" and it says that they are "used by millions of people as their solution to put acne behind them for good." I'm assuming there are other Murad stuff out there. |

the only Murad products I know are hair care products. I had some pomade I swiped from a salon I worked at that was pretty good stuff. but most of the line was all products marketed at men losing their hair, like regrowth shampoos and whatnot |

Murad ( http://www.murad.com/?roiid=14188 ) is actualy a full line of skin care from topical to internal. Mostly anti-aging but also acne, sun damage, hair, shaving, vitamins, etc. I think they are num two in skin care. My trade would not be $100 toy for $100 in Murad but prob closer to $100 toy for $300 or more in skin care. I get good deals so you get good deals. I've been with the company three years and although I'm changing careers soon I will probably be using the products for a lifetime. But really I'm just looking for more ways to get toys since I'm not ready yet to offer a bj. |

"Hey, if they dont want to make it a bit easier to get laid thats cool. But some ones mommy or auntie may be looking for a good wrinkle reducer for xmas." My experience suggests that giving wrinkle reducer as gifts would virtually guarantee continuing (if not permanent) celibacy. Even my mom or aunts would view that as an insult thinly disguised as a gift. It may be though, that the demographics would mean more demand for anti-aging nostrums here, and acne goop over at that Other Site. But, however one may view gifts of wrinkle reducer generally, I think that promoting more other-stuff-for-vinyl trading is a good idea. I think I recall seeing a couple of trades of vinyl for footwear. I once traded someone a South Beach vacation for a piece I wanted, and it worked out great for both of us - if anyone else wants to visit South Beach in trade for vinyl, just let me know (a coupla teaser pics of the view are below). (Besides, nothing mutes tiresome toy-budget whining so effectively as having a toy you originally bought for $50 end up buying you and your gf a chic and fabuloso South Beach vacation, right on the sand on Ocean Drive.) I don't think I'm into real head for Real x Head. At first when I saw SoS' post I thought "maybe I should see what condition my collection of the first few years of Starlog is in or maybe that nice program from the opening night of Star Wars in Westwood could be traded for a cool monster" but now that I know what you folks really want, I wish I had some ultra-expensive cosmetic stuff, which I don't. I do use Dial soap, though, and am willing to trade some for a vintage Frankenruge if anyone's down. I won't name names but once when I checked an SBer's profile on eBay he seemed to alternate between buying JP vinyl and skin care products. Maybe this thread isn't so weird after all. I always wondered how the Blobpus kept his tentacles so supple and young-looking. Must be Oil of Olay. |
