Post subject:  ...SF Gallery Options

Looking for some smaller to mid-sized galleries to show my work at, at the end of the school year when i am done with all of my learning. Photo and illus. are my 2 main forms of media that i work in. Please any help would rule

Before branching out, wouldn't it be better to try showing your work closer to your base of operations? Get the people in your area familiar with your work, and build a local base?

Seems kinda ambitious for anyone right out of school to try and get a gallery showing in a major gallery city.
