Post subject:  GPS Question

Are any of you guys familiar with GPS Navigation units? I want to get my wife one for the holidays. She is a real estate agent and it would be perfect for her to use.

I am familiar with Garmin Nuvis but seeing that there are so many different versions, which should I go for?

Is Garmin better that TOMTOM or Magelin???

These are the few I have my eyes on so far:

Garmin NUVI 200, 200W (new wide screen), 250, 350 - Looking to spend under or around 300.00 tops

Also, the TomTom ONE LE GPS

Any help???? All appreciated!

Thanks!

the main differences in the units are the ones that have a monthly fee that have traffic updates. with those, they will give suggestions on how to avoid it (i know tomtom does that)

you can get more inexpensive ones where you can hook it up to your PC via USB and update maps

We are on a business/family plan so going to At&t would not be the way for us to go... otherwise, believe me, I would have my own iphone.

She just needs something that is easy to install, does not take a genious to use, and can take it with her when she needs quick street directions. After some review readings I think the Garmin 200W sounds the best for the price... plus the screen is bigger so that's a nice feature.

Thanks guys

Garmin is the way to go. I fish a lot and a bunh of other fisherman swear by them. Some of the best units out there. I know people hate Wal-Mart but when I was looking for mine I found it on their website for about $90 cheaper than retail.
