| Post subject: | will the post office give me my box early? |
according to tracking, i have a package at the post office that should have been delivered to my work address today, but it was not. they do not deliver to my office on saturdays, so is it possible that they would give me my package if i went to the post office and asked for it tomorrow? or do they need to give it to someone at the address on the box? |

They should give you your package as long as you have some id with you. Preferable a company id card maybe since it also proves you work there. I'd also print out whatever you can find on the USPS website about your package. USPS clerks beg to go by the book about everything but if you go armed to the gills with your own paperwork disputing their error and HAVE ID (most important- they are sticklers about ID) they cough it up pretty easy. The only problem you may encounter is if the package is out for redelivery but then again you said they don't deliver to that business address on saturdays. Also the post office is apparently required to hold the package the next day in case you do want to pick it up (in most cases they do this). Trust me mail-ordering abroad for 17 years has taught me alot about the post office. Go get your toys... Chris |
