Sad day for me. Even though it was a bit cheesy, this was one of the first records I owned, and I actually never gave up loving this record. It was a wonderful mix of real rock and goofy fun all rolled up on one. Whereas something like twisted sister was goofy, and they took themselves dead seriousdly, TS came off as a joke, and it was hard to look at later on down the line. yeah this is definitely sad. one of the first cassettes i ever owned. i listened to it nonstop until the tape snapped. a sad day indeed. |

It doesn't matter if the music we loved when we were younger seems cheesy now. Who among us doesn't have at least one early love like that? Heck I loved ELO when I was 12 but I refuse to be embarrassed about it now. I wasn't a fan but fondly remember Quiet Riot as one of the stars of the early MTV glory days, and a band that did anthemic rock, one of the most galvanizing and fun kinds. It's always sad when those responsible for good memories pass. The good thing is that the music is still around. |

bummer...he had a great voice (at least back in the 80s) and Metal Health spent a lot of time on my turntable as well...that song alone was one of the best "anthems" of the time! Rock it in the afterlife... |

dang!!! that is shitty news...RIP not a huge quiet riot fan here,,but i did enjoy their videos,,some of the first mainstream metal to hit the screens....even though it was a bit cheesy,,it still shook things up!! i was listening to metal a bit more dark & evil at that time

One of the strongest voices sadly silenced. At least we still have all the classic videos of him looking like he is going to kill something. I guess I'm showin my age but the early days of MTV were the best cheese ever! Ike |
