say a company made several pair of shoes with the image of your #1 favorite toy on them...but say they cost as much (or more than in some cases) buying the toy itself. now say they would likely only be displayed, not worn, right alongside the toy. which would you get? shoes or toy? One the one hand-the toy is a sure thing-a nice addition to your collection, on the other, shoes 30 years from now, no one will believe that all those things on your shelf also had a line of shoes modeled after them. Wow really? I mean, I get it and I don't get it. Shoes are to WEAR and I tear mine the fuck up. But than again, I collect toys so..........I get it a little. I can appreciate clothing/fashion as art kinda, but for it to be FULLY appreciated, to me, it needs to be worn not displayed. But hey, I have a box of cereal I'll never open and a few cans of pop too that are all just for display. |
