Holy crap, so I have the tv on while I pack for a trip and their new commercial comes on. Its a bunch of out of shape people standing in line and there is a jingle going on saying what are these words french or italian? my brain can't find these words are they french or italian? Or is it fritalian. Then a voice comes on and goes something like at dunkin donuts you order your coffee in english not fritalian.

It is seriously the most ignorant looking commercial I have ever seen, almost as bad as that super bowl panda one with the bad asian accents. Seriously do we need to give terrorists more reasons to f*ck us up? really? Oh lets piss off asian countries, cuz north korea and china could never pose a threat and while we are at it france and italy are way to sissy with their fancy language, we speak english here f*ck you.

Seriously, what the hell.

I don't know about the commercial (haven't seen it) but I do know that on a cold day nothing pleases me more than a hot chocolate with a shot of toasted almond in it from Dunkin Donuts. It's like wake up juice for the soul.

I closed the window after 2 seconds. I hope I never see that ad on tv otherwise I will have to break something.

What the fuck happened to John Goodman? How the mighty have fallen.

Yeah that was pretty damn ignorant. Their drinks are still yummy but they definitely need to fire their marketing guys.

Dunkin Donuts was in Taiwan around 15 years ago and then bailed because their business was hurtin'...

Then Mister Donut came (a couple of years ago) did donuts right and started a donut explosion.

Now DD is back in Taiwan and selling some nasty tasting donuts with a weird aftertaste and doughy taste. Plus their coffee sucks.

Mister Donut for me!

The commercial wasn't exactly aimed at a cosmopolitan demographic, was it? :-) I think the most ignorant thing about it wasn't so much that it appeals to a "regular guy/gal next door" sort of person, but that it closes by saying that at Dunkin' Donuts, you order a latte in English.

"Latte" is English? Bwahahahahaha! If it were English, you'd be asking for "milk coffee" or some variation on that. Dumb.

On the other hand, I can appreciate the obvious stab at Starbucks for mangling Italian into a meaningless mess with their stupid drink names and portion sizes. What's so hard about calling them "small, medium, and large?" Nothing, that's Starbucks' conceit, or rather that of their customers who might actually be tempted to feel sophisticated for ordering a "vente double frappuccino with hazelnut syrup and extra cinnamon on top, very hot without too much froth." Bleh.

"My mouth can't say those words" was very condescending. I think any foreign persons inclined towards terrorism might actually get a kick out of this commercial. It makes Americans look very stupid.

I love this Peet's coffee that I'm drinking right now. Now all I need is a Dehara donut.

Starbucks is everywhere. Even Klingons drink Ractaginos.
