i know a few people have gone to tokyo on here recently so i figured i would ask (i know i made a similar thread about two months ago, but that got deleted when my account went out the window so i can't edit it.) basically i'm going to tokyo in may. flights are fine but getting a hotel for the time i want has been a bit tricky. i was originally wanting to stay in the hotel century southern tower (four stars, shinjuku) but for some reason it is totally booked out which totally bums me out since everything i read about it was perfect, great area and i could afford it. i was also considering the sunshine prince in ikebukuro as a few people on here had recommended it, but i couldn't get anything there either (read below). so i have this list now to choose from (i have a 'hook up' at a local travel agent, and this is the list in my price range he gave me.) has anyone stayed at any of these joints? obviously i'll try to read reviews etc on the net but alot haven't seemed very positive... renaissance ginza tobu hotel (4 stars, ginza). century hyatt tokyo (4 stars, shinujku). keio plaza hotel (3 stars, shinjuku). crowne plaza metro (3.5 stars, ikebukuro). hotel okura tokyo (4 stars, roppongi). palace hotel tokyo (3.5 stars, marunouchi). shinjuku new city hotel (3 stars, shinjuku). courtyard mariott ginza (3 stars, ginza). any suggestions/recommendations would be appreciated. |

I'm a fan of Courtyard Marriotts in general, but no experience with the one in Ginza. |
