Rancho is near Sacramento. About 2 hours away from San Francisco. ok place to live, but far away from SF and S7. never been to Cary, NC so hard for me to compare. you're not too far away from Lake Tahoe which is a good thing if you like lakes and/or skiing. If you eventually want to live on the West Coast, this is a good way to get here. |

I don't actually know anything about rancho cordova, but it is right outside of Sacramento. We actually moved to Sacramento a few months ago, so we haven't really ventured into all the surrounding cities yet. But, I think Rancho Cordova is pretty suburb-y, but you could move into sacramento proper and just drive out to rancho cordova, because it isn't too far. Plus, you would probably want to spend most of your non-working time in sacramento anyhow. A lot of people talk shit about sacramento, because some parts of it are a little country and, well, it's not san francisco. But..it is really cheap to live here, and there is a lot of stuff to do. Plus, it's only about an hour and a half away from san francisco. Also, tahoe is really close, too. |

It really isn't that far. just get on 1-80, and if you drive like my girlfriend you can make it in an hour depending on traffic. Plus, we could actually afford a house here and not some tiny box. And we have a yard...but we had to have one, because we have two australian shepherds. I think it's worth the drive. |
