I haven't heard their new stuff yet. I saw them at a pre-Coachella show a few years back and they killed. |

NPR interviewed a couple of the members yesterday, they've already broken things off with the singer (can't remember his name), and the other members are back with love and rockets. |

I've only listened to samples but I'm pretty impressed. They sound like real Bauhaus in 2008, not a lame comeback attempt. I'd forgotten about that dub reggae influence in the bass and tempos ... a great influence on non-reggae punk/new wave/goth in the early 80s. I got tired of the Bauhaus-worship at the time but in retrospect, what a great band and sound ... SO many incredible tracks! I'll buy this one for sure. Seems to be a classy wrap-up. |
