i don't think i've ever seen anything mechanical move that smoothly or lifelike. imagine like a pack of fifty of them used in the military, with weapons or even supplies attatched to them. they can even jump over shit and go through water so terrain is no obstacle. amazing.

Incredible what we're doing with robotics. Properly motivated (e.g. a big fat grant from DARPA) this is the kind of stuff we can come up with. Amazing to watch this thing slip on the ice and never fall once. Take that, Asimo! ;)

Yep. MGS4 all the way.

It bloody creeps me out so much. (Just like the robots in Herbie Hancock's Rockit film clip). So damn real but still synthetic.

Imagine 1000 of them (all armed) in a ground war.
