I dont think i have much choice in seeing this as my GF is a total x-files nut.

I probably wont have any idea what's going on as I've only seen like 3 episodes.

I liked X-files a long time ago but the last movie was weak.

I hope it's good. There seems to be a lot of interest still!

The good thing about this movie is that they've reportedly ditched "the mythology," and approached this film with the first TV season's "self-contained movie of the week" episodes as a guide. Unfortunately the trailers haven't been too compelling, but as always the film itself is the thing. I'll see it out of curiosity and for nostalgia's sake, but with low expectations.

I'm probably in the minority but I liked the first film. I thought the shows became a weak after awhile but as a stand online movie I liked it.

I only liked the one-off episodes about weird crap like vampires and swamp monsters. The whole government-alien-cover-up story the swallowed the series as a whole bored me to tears.

I gave up on X-Files after the first movie when I realized that the writers were treating the aliens like Snuffleupagus, with Mulder playing the role of Big Bird.

"But Scully, you were actually inside an alien ship, they had you hooked up to machinery and everything!"

"Oh, Mulder, there's no such thing as aliens..."

If this movie relies on the rest of the series after that point, I'll be lost, but if it's "monster of the week" then I'll be there.

That looked like Xzibit in there aswell- thats good in keeping with the 'X' theme.

Scully is a right Milf nowadays aswell, she just got hotter and hotter as the series went on. :D

I have always thought of the episodes involving self-contained, individual stories, as being "episodic X-Files." I personally think this is what made X-Files work... I really could never get into the long, drawn out continuous plot lines. The movie could be really awesome! Let's hope!

I'll go see the movie with my usual low expectations. This first one wasn't that bad but focused too much on what killed the series (alien/ government cover up plot thing). If this focuses more on self contained one off episodes of odd creatures/happenings I'll definitely be more into it. I really really need to pick up that all 9 season box set. X-Files was probably the very last thing I ever watched on TV regularly, haven't had cable since nor do I want it.
