A little while back, I was chatting with a dude I work with, and the subject of monster movies came up. I mentioned my interest in kaiju films, and he told me that his uncle is the Korean filmmaker Hyung-rae Shim- director of the kaiju flick Yongarry and, more recently, Dragon Wars. Kinda interesting…I haven’t seen either of those flicks… |

Dragon Wars looked amazing in the trailer but as a film it kind of sucked. Still a cool connection! |

After a few weeks of wanting to see dragon wars and the GF refusing to see it in theatres, I got to rent it FINALLY! I was so bored I ended up falling asleep half way through and my girlfriend ended up loving it. She can't even stay awake through Godzilla vs Hedorah. pshhhhhh. I did like the dragons though, never realized how intimidating the traditional asian dragon could be until that film. |
