I am after a bus powered 500gb portable hdd. BUT!

Heres the rub, seee.

I live in the land of 3x retail.

So I am asking if one of my fellow SB bras could be my middle guy.

It should be real easy since we are all used to sending and recieving shit every other day.

I put the money in your paypal you buy it for me and ship it to my place.

This is the online shop and product: http://www.pcnation.com/web/details.asp?item=Q81804

Let me know if sounds like you.

Why that brand?

If you're looking for cheaper prices domestically, and realistically you should be able to find anything in AU for the same prices or cheaper than US. Perhaps not for that particular brand external HD, but you can pick up an external WD HD, same capacity, better RPM for 180 ish.

Try this site: http://www.staticice.com.au

If you can get a 500gb Bus powered Portable Hdd for $240 + shipping let me know conqueror. The best I can see is just over $AU400.

So For $AU260+ say 30 for insured shipping...$AU290 I can get one from the U.S. Thats nearly 100 saving.

Can anyone help out?

Darky I was writing the same time as you mate..

I havnt checked that site yet but I just like to underline that it has to be bus powered

hence the difference in pricing from other 500gb portables.

Post subject:  Re: Love job

why does it need to be bus powered? aren't bus powered joints over 150gb or so kinda rare?

Post subject:  Re: Love job

Bus powered above 150-250 is rare (for now) but not impossible, hence the prices.
I want bus powered so I dont need to lug a wall plug around.

We arnt the only Aussies, theres atleast 3-5 other loiteres

I have a couple with the wall plug and I dont want em if I dont have to. Plus I want it in situations where there are no or minimal wall sockets.

basically, what i think germs is after is for some dude in the US to buy him a copy of gone with the wind on DVD and then wrap it up in xmas themed paper. he will then pay you to send it to australia via a dugong. i think.

Post subject:  Re: Love job

So that website does not ship outside of the US. That's what it sounds like. I looked at it and it also says:
Sales tax or sales tax related handling fees may apply when shipping to locations in the States of California, Illinois and Massachusetts.
Which means if I buy it for you, there is sales tax after the price listed (backwards ass USA...why can't they just list price with the sales tax included like all the other countries I've been in). CA sales tax ranges from 8.25% to 8.5%. I'm starting to get swamped with work outside of my day job but if I can help you out, I will. I'll pm you in a couple of days.
