It pains me to do this but I have yet to receive my Yellow GID Zagoran that I purchased from Bottled on 6/29. I have sent numerous pm's and only get a few responses. I have filed a paypal dispute that got a "it's enroute, I'm sorry it's been crazy etc etc." response, but have yet to see any Zag. That was on the 23rd. I would just like my figure or my money, and I know I am not the only one.

Well 6/29 was ten days ago.
Maybe it's going ground across the country?

Just saying...

he told me last night he's looking into it. I don't like calling people out, but it has been almost two months for me so...

i'm not worried, but you're also not alone in waiting.

My favorite was when I had a couple addresses in paypal. One had the correct address but wrong country, the UK.

The seller and I didn't notice it. Neither did the post office, as I guess there is a Boston, UK.

Nothing came. Nothing came.
Finally the seller and I traded some PMs and identified the wrong address.
My package went over to the UK, sat over there for a bit, then came back to the US and my proper address.

Good times.

Waiting for a Zag from Jeff as well---I know he has delivered in the past, I have no reason to doubt him now.

Which would lead me to believe that he has some bigger things to deal with. Lets just hope he's ok. I'm sure he'll get everyones stuff to them.

I got a pm from him last night saying he would look into it. I think everything will pan out for everyone, people just have lives outside of toys.

give him a chance to respond. :)

i've dealt with jeff in the past and he's always come through. as to why he liquidated the zag collection, who knows. he had mentioned to me that it was along the lines of the " why am i collecting all this stuff " syndrome, which we've all had from time to time. sometimes life takes us in different directions.

peace, moldy....uh, i mean jojo

But you already gave him a hard time by filing the dispute...

Well, FWIW, I'm in the same boat - I bought stuff from him back in late May. i sent him several PM's which he read but never responded to. I finally did a get a response from him several weeks ago and he said he'd look into it and get back to me. Another 10 days or so went by and nothing.

After about 30 days, I filed a paypal complaint against him - still no response. I waited a week and then escalated it to a claim. I got a response from him the next day pleading with me to withdraw the claim implying that it would cause him a financial hardship. I explained that I feared he was blowing me off and the deadline for filing a claim with paypal was about to expire so I acted to preserve my rights. Based on his promise, I withdrew the claim voluntarily trusting that he would send the items. In effect, withdrawing the claim meant closing it which now means I can no longer bring a claim against him and will lose the money I sent him if he doesn't follow through with his promise. So far it's been about a week since he told me the package has been sent -as of last night it hadn't turned up but maybe it will this week. Right now, to paraphrase Bluto, I'm feeling like: "I fucked up. I trusted him."

To be honest, I'm getting kind of sick of dealing with some of the flakes and irresponsible people on this board. The vast majority of deals/trades have gone wonderfully but the ones that don't are very time consuming and aggravating to resolve and thus they can overshadow the good experiences.

It doesn't take that much effort to put stuff in a box and get to the post office within a few weeks of receiving payment. If someone does the seller a courtesy of paying you in a timely fashion, absent extentuating circumstances, you should respond in kind. At the very least respond to emails and explain there's a problem - there's no excuse I can think of for not doing that absent death and/or loss of electricity.

+1

If you can't or not prepared to ship an item, don't post it! Pretty Simple.

I've bought a couple of items from folks on the board and all sales have went smoothly.

Sorry to here about this!

Post subject:  Re: Problems with Bottled

it was a little depressing seeing the for sale threads of bottled dropping all his zags, since he was pretty much the biggest zag fan i could think of.

i'd be worried too. i mean, if someone was getting out of the hobby, they have no reputation they need to worry about upholding. i hope that's not the case. i know i'm beyond slow sometimes when i need to ship something out, but a couple months is kinda pushing it...

bottled was always a really cool person, i hope everything is alright on his end.

ummm, i have admittedly only read half of this thread. but i am owed a ten dollar item from him that he claims he sent usps. all my deliverers leave slips and I go to usps every saturday. nothing for two months as well. contacted him once. I was going to do so again next time I feel bored and hateful.

those moments suck.

BUT if one think existentially, collecting toys is the same as doing anything else. In the end, it's all the same as anything else. That's how I justify it to myself anyway...well, that and the fact that I fucking love my collection.
