I came across this album by Negura Bunget called Zirnindu-Sa. I have Om, Inarborat Kosmos, & N Crugu Bradulul. I thought those were there only 3 albums. I know it's a long shot, but if there are any metal fans here, and you know anything about this album, let me know. thanks. and for those of you who have never heard of Negura Bunget, I think they have some stuff on itunes, which is surprising, being they're a less-than-not-publicized band out of Romania.... |

My buddy Jeff on Autopsy Kitchen Records has their stuff on his distro. I picked up an album, although I can't remember the name, it was damn good though. You should also check out The Ruins of Beverast on Battle Kommand Records. |

will do, I'm always up for hearing some new black metal. it's hard to find good stuff lately though. either it's that image-obsessed cradle of filth style or a bunch of under-produced/under-talented Mayhem wannabes it seems.... |

I'd have to disagree... There's more fascinating borderling black metal bands active than ever before. From wild cavemen to deceiving elitists, it's all right there. |

From wild cavemen to deceiving elitists, it's all right there. i guess saying that "all" black metal now falls into those 2 categories is kind of extreme. it's just that i've been listening to black metal for so long, it's hard to be pleased with stuff anymore. do you ever get that way? some stuff that came out in the last couple years that is amazing is: Horna - Aarnia Yossa Crimson Moonlight - Veil of Remembrance Heol Telwen - An Deiz Ruz & (on the edge is) Bewitched - Spiritual Warfare but, on the other hand, i listened to this band called Furzt, and I should have known by the cheap, stereotypical cover art that it was awful. Also, the lates by Eternal Majesty was a complete waste of time..... i guess i just a reminiscent to the times when all black metal was new and raw, you know? |

I understand where you're coming from, and i'm definately not dividing the black camp in merely two sides but there's a healthy amount of brooding energy in today's BM scene that's intruiging. Bands such as Woods Of Infinity and Lust have impressed me. |

Never heard of Lust though. I'll have to check into that. That's the beauty of the scene, it's always full of new territory. I highly recommend that you check out Crimson Moonlight. Very good stuff. I believe they have a myspace page. Both the band and their record company is out of Scandinavia, and I haven't been able to find actual websites for either.... |

Check out Wolves in the Throne Room - Two Hunters. You can thank me later. Black metal, and death metal for that matter are really healthy at the moment. You just have to wade through a lot of shit to find it though. Zîrnindu-Sã was released on tape in 1996 by Bestial and 1998 on cd via Breath of Night Records. There was also 12" LP limited to 500 hand numbered copies, no idea who released it though. link to another version from Bestial http://www.bestial.ro/product.php?prod=3329 |
