Many of the Japanese toy designers homenageiam the heroes nipónicos-series TV of 70, as "Kamen Rider" (represented by RealxHead in color, in masks, armour and in the belt) and "Kikaida" (half of one color and half otherwise). The main categories are the class of robots and toys in the vinyl (kaiju or monsters). These include companies from vinyl toys RealxHead, Secret Base, Gargamel and Bounty Hunter series because they very limited and rare (50 to 60 pictures per color) for adult collectors. While the super-heroes-American drain face villains, the heroes Japanese (which include robots), struggle with giant monsters or aliens. This attitude reflects Eastern ideals: Japan is a country very small and isolated that used the technology for the post-war revival of ashes of Hiroshima, moving in the direction of global power. |

So the question was: "What do you think the differences are between American Super Heroes and Japanese Super Heroes?" I didn't have a lot of time to think about my answer, but my reply was something along the lines that in America, Super Heroes typically fight against evil Super Villians. In Japan, however, Super Heroes usually fight against aliens and/or monsters and sometimes utilizing Giant Robots in their fight against the "Monster Aliens". The parallel being that post WWII, Japan used technology to become a super power. what do you think the differences are between American and Japanese Super Heroes? |
