i ton of MOTU fans love he-man and hate she-ra. i'm trying to figure out how this can be. she-ra is waaaay better, and more powerful of a character than he-man. 1. While Prince Adam is moping around, napping under trees, when not enabling the power of greyskull, he's a pathetic, lazy, joke. On the other hand, Princess Adora is the leader of a "rebel alliance" that is totally outnumbered. which brings me to.... 2. King Randor has a stronghold over Eternia, and Skeletor and his minions are a small band of "disturbances," occassionally coming across some relic that gives them magical power. On Etheria, Hordak rules supreme. She-Ra and all her little faries and the archer dude are extreme underdogs. 3. Skeletor is Hordaks apprentice. While, in real life, apprentices can sometimes out do their predecessors. In kids cartoons from yesteryear, the king usually stays king, making Skeletor always somewhere (power-wise) under the boot of Hordak. 4. She-Ra's sword can transform into a rainbow whip?! How cool is that? 5. But....Battle Cat is much more vicious and badass than Adora's Swift. But that still doesn't outweigh the other facts..... |

you can add Ultra_Gigan's comment to the list, because it is soooooo true! speaking of which, why is events like SDCC filled with attractive women sporting Princess Leia slave gear so much?! I admit that it is a great get-up, but I'm voting to see more She-Ra costumes... |

He-Man was for boys. She-Ra was for girls. proceed accordingly. |

Hmm. I remember Modulok being much cooler... He-Man is the Gi Joe to She-Ra's Barbie. |

She-Ra not as classic as He-Man. But I liked both shows. Orko rules from he-man. What was the name of that butterfly-monkey thing you had to find at the end of every She-Ra episode? It was hidden in a still image and they gave you a few seconds to look for it. |

They both had the most awesome dialog of any 80's cartoons. How can you love one and not even KIND of like the other? I wasn't a She-Ra fan, my little sister was, but I accepted the existence of it and my toys fraternized with hers. |

She-Ra had better villains, but they weren't as classic. But from a toy point of view, Hordak and his cronies were packaged as MOTU toys, which means that He-man has the best of both worlds. She-Ra's toys were basically dolls. |

I dug these guys out of the closet, they are all that remains of my He-Man collection. Our German Shepherd made short work of the rest...he was worse than Darth Vader & Skeletor combined! Can't remember the real name of Smurfy-lookin' Prince Adam clone. And sadly, over the years Stinkor has finally lost his smell. Stinky toys FTW!
