In addition to custom toys, I also build costumes. This is my Clone Trooper armor I've spent about 8 months building up and getting to the state it is now. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Whoa! That's fucking sick. If I may ask, what are you using for materials? I've got a project on hold because I've been lazy. |

Nice work Clone666, I built a Boba Fett costume last year and sold it earlier this year. Nice are you in the 501st? I never joined, I built the costume then kinda lost interest. =) phil |

Thanks for the props! Yes, I am in the 501st The armor was actually a sintra kit I bought from another 501st member that had to be trimmed, fitted to my body, installed with rare earth magnets t then seams filled and sanded and finally painted and weathered. The guns, pauldron(shoulder guard), kama(skirt) are all hand made from various materials by myself. The helmet has a motorcycle visor installed, lights put in the fin, and magnets in the neck ring. |

That costume rules. The 2nd weapon looks enormous. How heavy is wearing all that stuff ? |

Thanks! hellopike wrote: how was the CW movie? Phil I was in armor for the premiere. It was okay. It was what I expected it to be, a kids movie more than anything. I love Star Wars, but I know all it is to Uncle George these days is a means to sell action figures(of which I have bought many). As juvenile as Episode 3 was in terms of dialogue, this movie took that to a new level. Cool clone action though, which is all that matters to me. Zaaier wrote: How heavy is wearing all that stuff ? The armor being made of Sintra is actually not that heavy. The helmet is a lightweight resin, so I would put it at about less than forty pounds. Though I've worn it for as long as eight hours a couple of times, and can say I was pretty worn out and tried to eat everything in site once I was out. |

Zaaier wrote: That costume rules. The 2nd weapon looks enormous. How heavy is wearing all that stuff ? My old costume weighed in a little over 50 pounds I'd say. The armor is light, but depending on what the helmet and the other gear (jetpack, weapons etc..) is made of, its can be heavy. And you sweat... a lot. =) phil |

Hahaha was supposed to motorcycle visor. Thanks for pointing that out, typo fixed. missy wrote: maybe you can answer this for me, because I see these guys out at comic con & other places, and all I can think is... how do you pee?! Seriously it bugs the shit out of me. do you totally disrobe? Some guys wear undersuits with crotch zippers(like those Zentai fetish bodysuits), so peeing is easy. Me on the other hand, I wear a wetsuit underneath, so #1 and #2 is impossible without completely disrobing. If I plan to be dressed up for more than an hour, I usually don't eat anything and take a nice long #2 and #1 before hand. I once ate fajitas for 2 at a Mexican restaurant called Cafe Adobe before running around in this thing on Halloween night. Boy was that a mistake........ |
