Wow! i've never had USPS do anything like that...usually it's UPS! I always found it odd that, in my experience, the cheap, government-run shipping service was so far superior to the expensive, privately-run shipping services. But at least it's just a single SB figure in there! I swear, you could probably stick one of those in a manilla envelope and send it 1st class USPS and it'd be fine! |

I've had problems with both. USPS tends to crush boxes far more than UPS. UPS tends to get forgetful with notices, or will dump boxes in front of your apartment for everyone to see. Glad to hear the toy was ok. Vinyl seems to fare far better than other toys in shipping mishaps. |

That box belongs in the 'custom toy and fan art' section. |

Yikes. Never had that happen but one thing I can't stand about the USPS is when they leave a package notice in my mailbox that says.."sorry we missed you your package will be available tomorrow at..." It's happened a few times when I'm working at home and the guy is too lazy to walk up a flight of stairs and delivery it to me. |

UPS seems to think I live next door. I prefere USPS to any other US shipping system, since at least, Canada Post finish the rest of the run.. Your box will give me nigthmares for days |

Yeah, I've had far worse luck with UPS - every package I get delivered by them is either crushed, or torn, or needs to be picked up from some insanely remote location. I swear, out of probably about 500+ packages in the past 10 years I have never gotten anything delivered by USPS that was in that bad of shape. Especially Priority mail - that usually shows up looking minty fresh. That totally floors me. Glad the figure was OK, but it sucks nonetheless. I would file a complaint with the local PO; might not do any good, but it might make you feel better. |

it looks like somebody played soccer with the box, guess that's why secret base wraps their figures in cocoons of bubble wrap. |

I've never really used UPS, and will now avoid them in the future when at all possible. |

Also a fan of USPS. Many UPS packages come banged up and/or taped up. And the 3-day Priority Mail shipping is usually cheaper than the slooooow UPS Ground service. |

Well, in my experience USPS and UPS are completely dependent on location. For example, I'm in Brooklyn, NY. I can't tell you how many times I've shipped stuff overseas via Air Mail and it got there in 2-3 days when similar stuff shipped the exact same day via Priority Mail in the U.S. took 5-7 days in the end. And UPS delivers pretty much in 1-2 days within your zone. So if I ship something to Boston or Atlanta, I just pay ground and it gets there as quickly as if I paid for next day. It's just always best to know what works for you. And if the U.S. Postal Service facility near you houses an elephant that sits on packages, then maybe you should reconsider them. PS: FedEx and FedEx Ground can go rot. I've never had more inconsistency with delivering and receiving stuff than with FedEx. |

those moments always scare the shit out of you! i've had a few boxes turn up like that, but for the most part the toys always turned out fine, but once i had a bwana killer about as flat as a vinyl record. heated it up and took about 15 minutes to reform the thing. the whole time i was all shaky cause i was super pissed. the best is when you find a package hiding in your yard somewhere. i once waited 2 months for a package. contacted the buyer, ebay, paypal, everything. i was freaking out cause it was a box of few pretty expensive pieces. then, one day when it was raining, i decided to smoke in the side porch that never ever gets used. anyways, i found my package in there. i'm trying to figure out how the hell the ups guy got it in there with the door and windows all locked up. |
